Does your IT Department have questions about Qualaris? Or is your IT Department asking questions that you cannot answer? The information below provides answers to all of our most frequently asked technical questions. Qualaris Web Application Technical Recommendations

Qualaris is a responsive web application which will be used by unit and department staff in your organization for improvement of quality of care. Qualaris does not collect or handle any protected health information (PHI). While there are no IT requirements for administration of this SaaS system, the following information can make the implementation of Qualaris projects flow more smoothly.

I. Accessing Qualaris

Qualaris is used on desktop and mobile browsers and requires an internet connection the app is accessible at app.qualaris.com and requires a login/password. Request a login at [email protected] or have a Project Leader from your organization use the Manage function in Qualaris to create a new account.

  • Mobile Safari (iPad)

  • Chrome (Android)

Browsers must have cookies and JavaScript to use Qualaris software.

Qualaris is a web application enabled by the internet requires access to these domains:

  • qualaris.com

  • app.qualaris.com

  • api.qualaris.com

  • static.qualaris.com

  • cdn.mxpnl.com

  • api.mixpanel.com

  • qualaris.s3.amazonaws.com

  • qualaris-attachments.s3.amazonaws.com

  • *.fullstory.com

  • *.intercom.io

  • static.intercomassets.com

Both https(port 443) and http(port 80) are used on these domains.

IV. Adding Access to Qualaris

Adding a Qualaris Icon to Workstations

For easy access, the Qualaris icon can be added to workstation desktops. This allows users to quickly access Qualaris. A weblink to app.qualaris.com pushed out to all computers on the Intranet works well for many of our customers. Alternatively a user can add an icon to their own workstation with the following instructions:

1. Open your internet browser

2. Navigate to app.qualaris.com

3. Enter your username and password to login (if necessary)

4. Once Qualaris has loaded, drag the small Qualaris icon next to the url to your desktop (shown below)

V. Recommended Mobile Collection Hardware

Sites interested in facilitating easy audit collection across their organization can utilize tablets with Qualaris. A common setup with Qualaris’ customers is to purchase a tablet for each unit and a tablet for key groups (e.g. infection control, quality, environmental services, etc.).

Recommended tablets

Qualaris recommends using the latest version of the iPad mini. The iPad mini is also an excellent size in terms of portability and one-handed usage.

Note on other tablet brands

Qualaris is a web application and can be used on most browsers, meaning other tablets besides iPads can be used.

Setting up your purchased tablets

Using a new tablet with Qualaris requires only a few steps:

1. Connecting the tablet to the internet

A brand new tablet will require some basic setup before it is connected to the internet. Follow the onscreen instructions that are shown when the tablet is first turned on, and when prompted to connect to a wifi network, find the correct network and enter the password if required. The specific network to connect to and the appropriate password should be obtained from the person responsible for your institution's internal network network.

2. Accessing Qualaris

Accessing Qualaris simply requires using a web browser to access app.qualaris.com. Qualaris can be added to the iPad home screen to allow easy, convenient access.
